SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

Millions of Californians will participate in the "Great California ShakeOut" earthquake drill on Thursday, practicing what to do during an earthquake at 10:16 a.m.

Families, schools, government agencies, and businesses will be part of the drill, with 10.4 million people registered across the state to take part.

Sacramento County residents might also receive an emergency alert notification, as part of the county's annual mass emergency notification system test.
