The sun was shining and the air was crisp on Thursday as a little less than 200 students from across Cornwall and SDG took part in the annual cross-country championship races.
All students ran loops at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School, which is the first time the location was used for the championship, with novice boys and girls running four kilometres, junior boys and girls running 5.2 kilometres, and seniors boys and girls running six kilometres.
Race organizer Lynn McCuaig said she ran and cycled the courses ahead of time herself. She said the open fields on the property provide good visibility to ensure student safety.
