ZACAHRY, La. (WAFB) - The city of Zachary is asking for input about ways to improve the downtown area from local business owners and residents.

Niki Gafford has owned Z Market in downtown Zachary for a little over a month and is excited to grow her customer base. She is already looking to add new products to the store in the near future.

“We’ve had some new vendors come in, and we have plans to add a sandwich shop for next year. And we’ve just done a few resets of some different booths in here, just keeping it, you know, boutique-ish, but antiques and a little bit of everything,” Gafford said.

While she’s creating a plan, she’s also brainstorming ways to improve downtown Zachary as a whole.
