ROSCOE, Ill. (WREX) — A new business officially opened their doors Thursday in Roscoe.

Party Like A Rockstar Balloon Bar is aiming to fill the gap left by the closure of former party stores.

This also marks a return back to the area for the owner, who previously owned another business in downtown Roscoe, which closed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

The balloon bar is in the former Velvet Robot space, which closed just a few months ago.

"I was sad to see that happen. My husband and I had a conversation about potentially opening this balloon bar in the location and things moved rapidly. We spoke with the village, we talked to Nick, he already had over a dozen applicants for this space and I'm so excited that he felt great about our passion and our excitement and what we were going to bring
