SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Burn restrictions in Spokane County will be lifted on Friday. These restrictions were initially put in place in late June due to high fire danger and ongoing drought conditions.
With the lifting of these restrictions, Spokane County announced that outdoor recreational fires, such as campfires, are allowed to resume in all unincorporated areas of Spokane County as well as the cities of Spokane and Spokane Valley.
Spokane Clean Air has outlined that recreational fires must not exceed three feet by two feet and must be located at least 25 feet from any structure.
However, it is important to note that burning may be temporarily restricted by the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency if there is an increase in fine particle levels or air stagnation occurs.
