Penn State fourth-year quarterback Drew Allar had successful surgery to repair a broken left ankle on Wednesday, according to a report by ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Thursday.

Allar was injured in the final minutes of the Nittany Lions’ 22-21 upset loss to Northwestern last Saturday at Beaver Stadium.

The timeline for Allar’s complete recovery, a full recovery, is still not known, according to Thamel.
