BATH, Mich. — Three people were killed in a plane crash Thursday evening in Bath Township, according to reporting from the Lansing State Journal (LSJ).
According to LSJ, the township's supervisor Ryan Fewins-Bliss confirmed a plane crash occurred near the intersection of Clark and Peacock roads, which is east of downtown Bath.
There were just three people on board the plane, according to the LSJ, and all were confirmed dead.
The LSJ said Fewins-Bliss said the cause of the crash and the plane's intended destination are not yet known. However, Flightaware.com reported the plane had departed from the Battle Creek Executive Airport at 5:08 p.m. and was scheduled to return there shortly after 6 p.m.
