IOWA (KCAU) — With the 2026 election more than one year away, another candidate is running for an Iowa Senate seat.

Stacy Besch is running for the Republican nomination for the 5th District seat in the Iowa Senate. She is an entrepreneur, public speaker, and educator.

Some of the priorities that Besch is running on include the ned to protect properties from the risk of eminent domain and medical freedom for healthcare decisions.

The primary election is June 2, 2026. The Iowa Senate District 5 seat is currently being held by Republican Dave Rowley.
