Penn State should get a boost on defense this week at Iowa.
Interim head coach Terry Smith said on Thursday’s Penn State Coaches Show that starting nickel cornerback Zion Tracy should be healthy for Saturday’s 7:08 p.m. kickoff against the Hawkeyes.
Tracy did not play in the season opener against Nevada or in last week’s loss to Northwestern.
“We’ve gotta keep Zion healthy. He’s missed a couple games” Smith said. “He’ll be ready to go this week.”
A junior, Tracy has appeared in 33 games with eight starts in his career. He has made nine tackles and a pass breakup this season. The athletic New York native’s finest moment in the blue and white came on a pick-6 against Ohio State last season.
Tracy’s injury has not been specified, but he was listed as questionable against Northwestern
