RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Former Reno Police Department Deputy Chief Thomas William Robinson was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 16, and charged with soliciting a minor for prostitution and child-neglect and/or child abuse, according to authorities.
“He is no longer employed by the Reno Police Department,” Public Information Officer Chris Johnson said.
Robinson retired from service in January 2024.
He worked under former Chief Jason Soto.
Robinson remains in the Washoe County Jail, Johnson said.
The investigation is being handled by the Washoe County School District Police Department as a member of the Regional Human Exploitation and Trafficking Team.
