DAYTON, Nev. (KOLO) - Two people were arrested in Dayton on drug related charges as part of a months-long investigation by the the Nevada State Police Tri-NET Narcotics Task Force.

Carol Avalos and Joel Serrato were allegedly selling drugs in Lyon County, Storey County, and Carson City, according to investigators.

A search of their homes uncovered approximately 66.3 grams of cocaine valued at $9,900, two firearms, more than $6,500 in cash, digital scales, and hundreds of small plastic baggies consistent with drug distribution.

Avalos and Serrato were arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, the Nevada State Police Parole and Probation Division, and the Nevada State Police Major Crimes Unit also assisted in the investig
