PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A SEPTA spokesperson says the gunman has surrendered after a shooting at the City Hall station on Friday morning.
The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. on the northbound platform of the Broad Street Line.
A cashier reported hearing a gunshot and police said surveillance video showed commuters fleeing the station.
Investigators say an adult male was shot in the torso and taken to Jefferson University hospital in an critical condition.
"I worry about the kids because the kids go to school in the morning. How are you going to do something like this when you have kids going to school?" said Kevin Brown from Southwest Philadelphia.
