For the second time in six months, someone has driven through a cricket field in Brant County.
Earlier this month, someone cut the chain and lock securing the Brant Onondaga cricket field at 23 Brant School Rd. Once in, they drove across the wet surface in multiple directions, destroying the grass and creating deep ruts and an uneven surface, the county said.

The same thing happened in April, delaying the opening of the field.
“These incidents not only damage public property, but also take away from the enjoyment of residents … repairs and cleanup require valuable time and resources that could otherwise support other community projects,” the county posted to Facebook earlier this month.
