LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A man was arrested Sunday in connection to a stalking incident that occurred at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s City Campus earlier this month.

In the early morning of Oct. 1, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department said an officer spotted a suspicious man, later identified as 34-year-old Alexander Sanchez of Norman, Oklahoma, near a residence hall.

Court documents show the officers made contact with Sanchez in the lobby area of the residential hall in which he stated that he was looking for his girlfriend who “personally invited him to the university.”

Sanchez told officers that he had traveled by bus from Oklahoma on Sept. 3 to locate a UNL student who he said invited him through Snapchat and TikTok live, the arrest affidavit states.
