WINNEMUCCA, Nev. (KOLO) - The Winnemucca Police Department is investigating a suspected sexual assault involving a juvenile. The incident was reported on Wednesday, October 15.

During the investigation, detectives were able to get a search warrant for the home of the man suspected in the assault. Giovani Diaz was taken into custody and booked into the Humboldt County Detention Center on charges related to the investigation.

The age of the juvenile and their relationship to Diaz are not being released at this time.
