SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - This is the game that everyone circles as soon when the Notre Dame football schedule comes out — the Irish vs the Trojans — and this year, it takes on special meaning as it’s a top 25 matchup with Notre Dame ranked No. 13 and USC ranked No. 20.

Coming into this game, Notre Dame’s defense has been playing much better. They’ve only allowed a total of 27 points in their past three games, including posting second half shutouts in all of those wins.

But USC presents a lot of challenges with their offense. Their quarterback, Jayden Maiava is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the country, ranking fifth in the country in passing yards. Meanwhile, his leading receiver, Makai Lemon, is a projected first round NFL draft pick.
