LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Public records show a city inspector fully passed Waggener High School’s visitors’ bleachers on September 5.
The home grandstand needed rails on a ramp to become fully accepted, and the inspector was scheduled to come back this week.
The bleachers were replaced as part of a multi-million dollar project to renovate the entire athletic complex.
The city also released a statement saying, “It’s the job of the Department of Codes and Regulations’ Construction Review Division to conduct inspections to see if construction meets the code regulations set by the state. The department and its inspectors thoroughly reviewed all submitted plans and completed every required inspection, including the final one. The railings were constructed to meet the 200-pound lateral load s
