While this week’s snowfall may have dampened the spirits of those still clinging to summer, it sparked excitement among skiers, riders and winter enthusiasts alike, leading to one big question: How much snow will we get this winter and when will it start to stick?
According to Jim Brusda, lead meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Great Falls, early signs point to an increase in precipitation over the coming months. However, it’s still too early to say how much above normal it will be.
