MINNEAPOLIS — A girl hurt in a mass shooting at the beginning of the school year put out a public statement, thanking everyone for the support she's received and also saying, "It’s so hard to believe I actually got shot, and other kids did too."
Twelve-year-old Lydia Kaiser was shot while protecting another student on Aug. 27. That morning, a shooter opened fire at Annunciation Catholic School's Mass. Two children, Fletcher Merkel and Harper Moyski, died in the shooting.
