COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A popular discount outdoor retailer is opening its first Midlands location this weekend.

Sierra will welcome customers to its new store at 136 Harbison Blvd. on Saturday with a grand opening at 8 a.m.

The store’s normal hours will run from 9:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sundays.

Sierra was described in an announcement as a “multichannel off-price retailer known for offering high-quality active and outdoor products at unexpectedly low prices.”

Saturday’s grand opening will include music from a local DJ, giveaways and chances to win a free gift card. An announcement also said Sierra will donate $10,000 to Central SC Habitat for Humanity.
