Police say someone set at least eight fires Friday morning throughout Seattle’s Beacon Hill and Mount Baker neighborhoods.
Police said the spree, which started shortly after midnight, did not lead to any injuries or major property damage. Over the course of about an hour, a suspect in dark clothing set fires starting at 22nd Avenue South and South Hill Street before progressing southbound, ending near South Walden Street and Wetmore Avenue South, according to police.
A K-9 unit from the King County sheriff’s office attempted, unsuccessfully, to track the suspect.
During the summer, police investigated a series of suspected arsons in South Seattle, including one at a Columbia City funeral home.
The investigation into Friday’s fires is ongoing. The Seattle Police Department is asking any
