In October 2025, the Oktaha Lady Tigers etched their names into Oklahoma high school softball lore. With a dramatic 2–1 victory over Howe in the Class 2A state final, they claimed their first state title since 2006.

A title that's been 19 years in the making.

The Decisive Moments

Oktaha trailed 1-0 through five innings.

"I just had that feeling we were gonna get it done," said head coach Kia Holmes.

In the sixth, Madison Capps and Kadence Strube racked up singles, and a sacrifice fly by Kardin Robinson scored the tying run.

Minutes later, Aubree Davis lined a pitch into right‑center, bringing home Jocelyn Branan and giving Oktaha the lead they would not relinquish.
