BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — On Friday, Bridgeport police shared new information about the sexual assault attack on a student walking to school Tuesday morning.
Within hours of the attack, police arrested 28-year-old Cordero Javier Greaves at his house without a struggle.
He is facing charges of sexual assault in the first degree, risk of injury to a minor, illegal sexual contact with a person under 16 years of age, unlawful restraint in the first degree and threatening in the second degree. His bond was set at $750,000.
Bridgeport Police Det. Jeffrey Holtz shared that the attack happened on Railroad Avenue and that the victim said not only was she assaulted, but the suspect also threatened her life if she told anyone what happened.
