Theft: Wilson Mills Road

Kohl’s management reported Oct. 12 that a woman had stolen 15 bottles of perfume, valued at $547.

A Mayfield Village officer was in the area and tried to stop the suspect’s vehicle as it entered Interstate-271, but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed before pursuit was ended for safety reasons.

Detectives investigated and learned that the suspect was a South Euclid resident. They also learned that she worked at the Ahuja hospital in Beachwood. They responded there and found her vehicle and were able to find her inside the hospital with help from University Hospitals police.

The woman, 22, was subsequently arrested for theft and had an active warrant for a previous theft at Kohl’s.
