SEATTLE — A Seattle mother accused of killing her 4-year-old son may face a charge of premeditated first-degree murder — a crime that carries a possible sentence of life in prison.

The 45-year-old woman declined to appear in court Friday. KING 5 is not naming her because she has not yet been formally charged.

Police were called to an apartment complex in Seattle’s Roosevelt neighborhood Thursday for reports of a woman experiencing a mental health crisis. According to court documents, neighbors told officers the woman had been running through the halls screaming that she “killed him.”
