Officers are investigating a "shocking and horrific" rape at a Leeds city centre bar.

British Transport Police (BTP) have issued an image of a man they wish to question regarding the attack at the Stone Roses bar on Briggate, Leeds .

Officers believe the individual may be able to help their investigation into the incident.

BTP confirmed that during the early hours of Sunday, October 12, between 2am and 4am, a woman was raped in the venue's bathroom.

A BTP spokesman said: "Urgent police enquiries began after the investigation was passed to British Transport Police on Thursday, October 16, once the location had been established and detectives are now urgently appealing for information and for witnesses to come forward."
