A man used social media to prey on a young girl, sending her thousands of emails, voice calls and video calls before travelling to Grimsby to have sex with her has been found guilty of 13 child sex offences.

Following a 12 day trial, Christian Sollitt, 46, of Rawling Street in Keighley, West Yorkshire , was found guilty of six counts of sexual activity with a child and three counts of making indecent photographs of children at Grimsby Crown Court .

He was also found guilty of sexual communications with a child, meeting a child following sexual grooming, possession of extreme pornographic images and possession of a prohibited image of a child

Sollitt has been remanded into custody to appear at Grimsby Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, December 12.
