NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a 63-year-old Arizona man died from injuries sustained during a hit-and-run crash in Nashville.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, officers were called Friday at 7:25 p.m. to reports of an injured man in the roadway on Old Hickory Boulevard at Rocky Lane.
The victim -- identified as Robert E. Powell, 63, of Hereford, Arizona -- was found with injuries that appeared to be consistent with being struck by a vehicle. Powell was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.
Authorities said the vehicle is believed to be a large SUV or pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
