BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - We have declared early Sunday morning as a First Alert Weather Day. We are forecasting a line of heavy rain and gusty winds to move through central Alabama Sunday between midnight through 7 a.m.

A few storms could become strong or severe, so you’ll need to have multiple ways to receive warnings just in case they are issued. It has been a mild start to the day with a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures are warming into the upper 70s and lower 80s with south winds at 5 to 10 mph.

We are watching a cold front that is producing a line of showers and storms across Oklahoma and into north Texas. Storms will continue to develop along this line, and it will race to the east tonight giving us a risk to see heavy rain and the threat for an isolated severe storm
