Foster Poultry Farms, LLC has expanded its recall of corn dog products to nearly 4 million pounds due to the potential contamination of wood pieces inside the batter.
The expansion, announced on Oct. 17, adds 118,098 pounds of “Whole Grain Chicken Corn Dog Whole Grain Wrapped Chicken Franks on a Stick Lower Fat,” to the recall list, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The products involved in the overall recall were produced between July 30, 2024 through Aug. 4 of this year and were shipped to retail and institution locations nationwide, including to the Department of Defense, schools and the USDA Commodity Foods donations.
