A child was rescued from a house fire in East Germantown on Saturday, the Philadelphia Fire Department said on a post to social media .
The child was treated at the scene at the 500 block of E. Washington Lane and then taken to the hospital, the post read.

According to officials, the fire took more than two hours to put out and caused a partial collapse of the home, which also caused damage to a neighboring home.
The age and identity of the child was not given, and officials did not say if anyone else was in the home at the time of the fire.
The Philadelphia Fire Marshalls are investigating the cause of the fire.
