Xavier Nwankpa's first interception since the 2023 season opener helped Iowa football take a 10-7 lead against Penn State on Saturday.

Nwankpa picked off Penn State's Ethan Grunkemeyer and returned it 28 yards, nearly scoring on the play. Two plays later, Iowa quarterback Mark Gronowski scored on a 1-yard keeper to give the Hawkeyes the lead.
