MARION, Ark. - Tornado sirens are out of service in Marion, Arkansas, the Marion Fire Department said.

According to the fire department, the antenna that operates the sirens has been temporarily removed. The water tower near the high school is being prepared for painting, and it has the potential to prevent the sirens from receiving the activation signal.

The Marion Fire Department is asking citizens to monitor local TV stations, weather radios, or weather apps on their phones and other devices for alerts and updates.
