Leading Labour and Conservative politicians at Coventry City Council have joined forces in praise of JLR which needed Government help following a cyber attack last month. Production lines ground to a halt and scores of suppliers to the car giant were put at risk, many of them in the region.
Speaking at this week’s (Tuesday) full council meeting, Labour ’s Cllr Jim O’Boyle , the cabinet member for jobs, regeneration and climate change, said the company was in the city’s DNA. There was further support from Tory leader Cllr Gary Ridley with the pair condemning a video posted by Reform’s Nigel Farage in which he said JLR deserved to go bust.
