BREWSTER- More than 11 million protesters across the United States came together for No Kings Day in June including some 2,000 attending a rally in Mt. Kisco. A spokesperson noted: “June was just the beginning.”

The next wave of protests took place Saturday and Putnam County is included on the list to what organizers said is to “reclaim democracy, reject fascism, and remind Trump that power belongs to the people. With Donald Trump’s policies threatening the balance of power, the movement mobilizes protests, advocacy, and direct action to demand a government that answers to We the People because in America, we don’t put up with would-be kings.”

The rally was held in conjunction with the Putnam Progressives at Wells Park in Brewster at 1:30 p.m. followed by a Harvest Festival.
