DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- There is major backup on I-40 Sunday morning.

A crash closes all westbound lanes near Exit 282 (Page Road), according to NCDOT. It happened around 5:30 a.m.

Durham police confirmed the crash was fatal. More information will be released when the on-scene investigation is completed.
