EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - More than 3,000 customers are without power in the Tri-State Sunday morning.

Just before 7:30 a.m. the CenterPoint outage map showed 3,350 customers were in the dark.

That’s among several outages from downed powerlines, mostly in Vanderburgh and Posey Counties.

That number is quickly going down however, with some customers already restored.

Duke Energy’s outage map showed more than 1,800 customers were out in our area, mostly in Gibson County. That includes a large outage in Princeton.

Officials urge you to never get too close or touch any lines.

Drivers should use caution for any trees or branches that might have fallen overnight or Sunday morning.
