Tulsa Oktoberfest organizers announced a delayed opening for Saturday’s festival, citing safety concerns after consulting with the National Weather Service, law enforcement, and emergency managers.

The event, originally set to open earlier in the day, will now begin at 2 p.m. Parking shuttles will start operating at 1:30 p.m., according to organizers.

Festival officials said safety remains their top priority and that they look forward to welcoming guests later in the afternoon once conditions improve.
