A man charged with a string of offences after a police vehicle stop in Grangetown has been named. John McElvaney, 32, of Richmond Court, Grangetown is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Monday.
McElvaney was arrested on Friday night in Fabian Road after police stopped a Nissan Navara vehicle around 11.30pm - the day after a number of violent incidents in Richmond Court.
He was taken into custody and questioned before being charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, possession of a bladed article and possession of a class A drug.
He has been remanded in custody until the court appearance before justices on Monday.
The charges follow a Cleveland Police investigation into a night of violence in Richmond Court, Grangetown, on Thursday, October 16. A black ve
