At this time of year, fireworks often light up Winnipeg’s neighbourhoods for Halloween and Diwali. They also spark familiar discussions about bylaws, permits, and enforcement. It’s reasonable for City officials to remind residents about safety and respect for their neighbours. What’s less reasonable is when those same officials fail to follow the very rules they promote.
