NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police detectives are working to identify the individuals responsible for the gunfire that killed a 17-year-old Saturday night in Bellevue.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said the shooting was reported at approximately 10:20 p.m. Saturday outside of the Forest Park apartment complex on Highway 70 South. Witnesses reportedly claimed gunfire broke out after a physical fight between two women, and the shooters fled.

According to authorities, 17-year-old Ja’Quan Nolan was visiting friends at the complex when he was injured in the gunfire, and later died at the scene.
