The Liberal Party appears to be terrified of retail politics.
By that I mean tackling the task of selling (retailing) your own policies rather than just commenting on whatever policies the other chap happens to have.
Public opinion polls often suggest most of the electorate accepts that climate change has to be stopped by pursuing net zero.
To which the Liberals appear to shrug their collective shoulders and mutter, “Well, if that’s what they think, we can’t change their minds”.
