With a big rivalry game on deck, Michigan is back in the college football rankings.
The Wolverines returned to the Associated Press Top 25 poll on Sunday, checking in at No. 25 after their 24-7 win over Washington.
Sherrone Moore’s team is now 5-2 amid a crowded Big Ten Conference. They fell out of the polls last week after a lopsided 31-13 loss to USC.
Ohio State remains the consensus No. 1, with 7-0 Indiana moving up to No. 2 following Miami’s loss to unranked Louisville on Friday night. Texas A&M and Alabama round out the top four.
Michigan’s return to the rankings comes as it hits a soft stretch in its schedule. The Wolverines are preparing to play unranked in-state rival Michigan State this Saturday in East Lansing, with unranked opponents Purdue, Northwestern and Maryland after
