A first-time mum has told how she was diagnosed with a brain tumour just two weeks after giving birth .

Lisa Wootten, 37, welcomed her son, Noah, in September 2024 following an emergency c-section triggered by a seizure at 38 weeks. It followed nearly two years of unexplained seizures that were repeatedly put down to nerve problems and other causes.

Just a fortnight later, Lisa was diagnosed with a 5cm meningioma. It meant Lisa, from Tiptree, Essex, spent the initial three months of her son's life frequently visiting the hospital.

After undergoing surgery in December 2024 to remove most of her tumour, Lisa was unable to be left alone with Noah until June. This was due to epilepsy caused by the pressure the tumour exerted on her brain, which she now manages with daily
