VIDALIA, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Vidalia, Georgia Police Department is warning the public to avoid the area of MLK Drive and Epstein Street due to a shooting involving an officer.

“Please avoid the area while the investigation is underway. More information will be released as the investigation progresses,” wrote the The City of Vidalia, Georgia Police Department .

They say the Vidalia Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations are currently on scene.
