YOUNGSTOWN - The Animal Charity of Ohio has taken in another dog that was found shot, the second case in less than a week. This one's name is Queen.

Both dogs were found in the 1st Ward of Youngstown. Queen was found by the Youngstown Dog Warden, who then called the Animal Charity to take over from there.

Queen was found with an entry and exit wound in her leg, indicating they were shot, but it's unclear with what type of projectile. Veterinarians also found hardened fragments, either bone or calcified infection, inside her leg, which will need to be surgically removed.

They are currently unable to undergo surgery due to the infection and swelling in her leg. Medical staff are monitoring and treating the wound, but it may have to be amputated.
