The ambulance was transporting a patient at the time of the crash. However, no additional injuries were reported in the crash.

CFD says that the patient is now once again being transferred to the hospital in a separate ambulance that was called to the scene.

It is unknown what led up to the original patient's injuries, although CFD says that the ambulance hadn't traveled far before it got into the crash.

A blue Honda Civic was the other vehicle involved in the accident.

Officials say that the scene still remains active.
