WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Spooky season took over the Old Cowtown Museum this weekend.

The event, Hay, Hooves, and Halloween, was a safe space for kids to trick or treat and included things like zombie gun fights and a ride by the headless horseman.

A museum employee says this is a great way to bring people in who have never seen Old Cowtown.

"We're always happy to have more and more kids get involved with Cowtown and be even just experience Cowtown for the first time this way, and then they can go back with their parents and come and see Cowtown as it is every day," Hanson Long, the gift shop manager at the Old Cowtown Museum, said.

The event runs until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
