GRESHAM, Ore. — One person was hospitalized after being shot during a fight in the parking lot of a strip mall early Sunday morning, Gresham police told KGW.

The shooting happened around 2:37 a.m. at Hood Center, a strip mall at Northeast Division Street near Burnside that houses several businesses. Police did not respond to requests on whether the shooting was connected to a particular business.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

The person or people responsible for the shooting left the area before officers arrived. No arrests have been made.
