A massive crowd gathered to watch a five-man team of Wagga shearers etch their names into the history books on the weekend.
The stunning display of endurance and skill in the Riverina region saw the team of Cameron Hicks (488), Nick Lehmann (475), Benjamin Duncan (502), Lachlan Robertson (389) and Toby Walker (447) shearing a total of 2301 sheep on Saturday, October 18, to set a new world record for eight-hour, five-stand Merino lamb shearing.
Calm and consistent was the recipe for success after a few challenges arose.
